Shirley Weiss is a local artist from the Valleyview/Grande Prairie area and has lived in the Peace country
most of her life.
Shirley completed high school with two years art instruction from the University of Alberta.
She has donated to various charities and fund raisers.
In 2011 she won the Capture the Beauty of the Peace Competition and is currently a member of Artists
North and the Grande Prairie Art Gallery. She is also an Active Member of the Federation of Canadian
Artists and their Peace River Chapter.
She lives on the West Bay of Sturgeon Lake with her husband Adolph. The beauty of the area and the
changing seasons are an inspiration for her artwork.
She works in acrylics and will accept some commissions.
